What do you find most helpful about training with me?

Your knowledge in strength and conditioning and your explanations during the session to my question is the most helpful. I feel like I am not just there to train but also from your explanation to understand more about my body and how it works.

I really like that during our session you would record videos/pictures to help me understand my movement during the practice. Those videos are super important for me to learn even after our sessions I was able to go back to them to correct my technique when I train on my own.

What do you find most helpful about training with me?

For me, in recovery from injury and suffering from Sciatica pain, working with Karen, I have appreciated the wealth of knowledge she has about human anatomy, physiology, and understanding of muscle tissue. She has been able to educate me, and cater to my personal goals. She is about accountability, and non-scale victories – feeling strong rather than focusing on the number on the scale.

how would you describe my training style?

Hmmm! She's a Drill Sergeant – Seriously though, she doesn't believe in one style fits all. She pays attention to her clients, listens to them, and focuses on their goals. Even in situations when I no longer have fuel in the tank, she believes in my capacity and potential to do more, encouraging and pushing me to find my strength and bring my best self to every workout session.

What do you find most helpful about training with me?

I like that I am being given proper instruction and guide into how to be in tune with my body better and be able to apply exercises that will really benefit in the long run. My knee feels much better since we started for example. I also like how you can see the potential and push for me to reach it. I am always underestimated due to my size, you are the first one that hasn't, you almost overestimated me I think hahaha.

How have I helped you on your fitness journey

Karen is such a super woman!! I've always struggled with mobility and flexibility and I never really incorporated them in my training programs. Meeting and training with Karen has made me realize how important it is to include it. She showed me some exercises that actually helped me increase my strength in weightlifting as it helped with my range of motion a lot.

I absolutely appreciate how well she knows me and my limits and she always helps me push myself mentally to do a little more. The thing that I love the most about her is that her philosophy is there's not only one type of training and it's very important to explore what your body and mind can do for you. Thank you Karen for your constant support.

You're very motivating and help me strive my goal. You're also very encouraging and adaptable to situations (ie. When I had my neck injury we switched to a different style of workout)

How have I helped you on your fitness journey

Mixing horizontal and vertical pole conditioning has increased my strength and confidence. Pull ups were my nemesis and now I can do 3! Karen has a wealth of knowledge and doesn't use a cookie cutter approach to help you reach your goals.
